How to Stay Relevant in a Zero-Click World

Voice AI and SEO in 2025

Not long ago, thinking about SEO felt like entering a long-distance race most of us couldn’t join: keywords, backlinks, constant content. But something’s changed. Not just the algorithm. The way we search, the way we consume information, and—most importantly—the way we choose what matters to us. And that’s where a new player steps in: artificial intelligence.

Today, in 2025, AI doesn’t just shape what we say, but also how and when we say it. And if you work with voice, ideas, or creativity—like I do—this isn’t just some tech curiosity. It’s a wake-up call.

Search engines don’t work like they used to. With the arrival of «AI Overviews» and zero-click searches, users often never even visit your website. They get the answer right on the search results page. So how do we stay visible, relevant, and memorable?

🎯 Here are a few keys I’m applying to my own strategy:

  1. Conversational, human content: AI gives answers, but people connect with people. Writing like we speak. Using headlines that spark real curiosity. Embracing storytelling that’s close, honest, emotional. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking AI can do it all—but I still know when someone’s trying to pass off a machine’s voice as their own.
  2. Voice and personal identity: In a world of synthetic voices, yours (and mine) are more valuable than ever. Showing our unique style—whether in a reel, podcast, or post—helps Google (and real humans) recognize and remember us.
  3. Clear yet deep answers: AI favors clarity, but users want depth. My posts now follow a new structure: get clear upfront, go deep after. That way, I don’t lose the algorithm—or the person.
  4. Real experience and authority: Show your work, share your process, talk about your lessons. All of that builds authority. Not just for traditional SEO, but in the mind of the person reading or listening.

💡 And what role does voice play in all this?

More and more interfaces are voice-powered: virtual assistants, interactive videos, apps. And voice—though it seems the most human—also plays by SEO rules. Well-written descriptions, smart tagging, optimized transcripts. It all adds up to make your audio (or video) content findable and desirable.

For me, this new phase of SEO isn’t a threat. It’s a fresh canvas. More challenging, yes—but way more interesting. Because now, it’s not enough to simply show up: you have to resonate. And if there’s something voiceover artists, creatives, and storytellers know how to do—it’s that: resonate.

Also, this moment has me realizing that with so many creative tools at my fingertips (most for about 20 euros a month), I can launch new audiovisual projects where—beyond lending my voice—I can, for example, write a short film script and bring it to life using platforms like Runway or the new Veo3 by Google.

Google’s Veo3 blew my mind! Here’s a link so you can float a little too—and dream out loud.

And you? How will you make sure your voice still stands out in an increasingly automated world?
